ABOUT LAUREN

Working with dogs for over
16 years.

I've been in the industry since 2009 - beginning with dog walking, pet minding, and mobile bathing, and gradually following the question that wouldn't leave me alone: why do dogs become the way they are?

Twelve years ago I turned fully toward behaviour. I learned with puppy schools and obedience skill, I longed for the complex cases. The dogs that other people had given up on. The ones communicating something important that nobody could understand. The wonderful dogs whose families are needing the most support with

I don't call myself force-free, because the more honest word is ethical, transparent, compassionate, and always grounded in the individual dog in front of me.

I collaborate with vet behaviourists, physiotherapists, GPs, and remedial massage therapists - because behaviour rarely exists in isolation. Understanding why a dog struggles matters as much as addressing how.

At home, I have two boys aged six and ten. Community safety and child safety aren't abstract values, they're part of my daily life.

I am currently studying applied ethology with Kim Brophy through the LEGS programme, because in this field, staying curious is part of the commitment.

Sophie, my heeler and bully breed mix, DNA tested and rescued — works alongside me in sessions. She came from the same complicated world as many of the dogs I see.
